THIS IS A VIRTUAL EVENT WHERE THE STUDENT WILL COMPLETE THE REQUIRED REMAINING ELEMENTS FOR CERTIFICATION THROUGH ZOOM. Participation in this virtual field day requires prior firearms handling and hunting experience. Adult must be present during the firearms handling portion of the class. Participants must first complete the online field day work at https://www.hunter-ed.com/iowa/. They will then be required to email a copy of their field day voucher to [email protected] prior to participating in the virtual field day. Participants must have access to a strong internet signal capable of supporting Zoom Meeting over an extended period of time (3 hours). Computer must also have a camera that the participant can turn on for portions of the course so the instructors can view the participant demonstrating the firearms handling exercises. Participant must also have access to a pump or semi-auto shotgun during the online class. Please ensure the firearm is unloaded and all live ammunition is removed from the area. Students will take a proctored final exam where they must either print out the blank answer sheet provided or utilize a blank sheet of paper. Link to Zoom Meeting and Passcode will be sent out along with a copy of the blank answer sheet and additional instructions on Monday, February 22, 2021.
